Richard Pickl

An Alpine World Cup Coach, Richard lives in Ramsau, Dachstein in the middle of the Austrian alps where he runs his own bed and breakfast “Sportpension Ischi” which became the European home base for SSWSC snowboarders and his snowboardschool “Boardstars”.

Nowadays, he is AJ’s head coach and World Cup coach – in charge of his training program in the US and abroad.

After starting snowboarding in 1985, Richard competed successfully at the first snowboard pro circuit. Since 1987 he has educated the Austrian snowboard teachers and coaches, and has coached several teams on different levels including the Russian snowboard team at the Olympics in Salt Lake City 2002.

Since 2012 Richard has also been the coach for the SSWSC Worldcup Snowboard Race Team, which he coached at the Olympic games at Sochi 2014.


Neil Sunday

Neil has held the position of Head Coach for the Ski Roundtop Racing Club (SRRC) since 1999, and has successfully coached athletes at Regional, National and World Level Competitions.  Over the past 17 years, the SRRC Snowboard Team has grown to 21 dedicated Alpine Racers.

Neil has worked with AJ Muss in the early stages of his Snowboard Racing at Ski Roundtop, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail, and Copper Mountain Snowboard Team, before AJ went to Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.  He is excited and proud to join forces again on the World Cup Level with AJ and Richard Pickl, as an Assistant Coach and Serviceman.

In addition to working with athletes, Neil is active in teaching Future Coaches through the US Snowboard Coach Education Program, regularly conducting Coach’s Clinics in the Northeast.

Neil has also been selected to coach the US Snowboarding PGS/PSL Junior World Championship Team three times in the last five years, which has taken him to New Zealand, China and Italy. He also is a lead coach for alpine snowboard training at the Bud Keene BKPro Camps.


Thedo Remmelink

A Snowboard Pro-Am Race Head Coach, Thedo is recognized for having been the USSA Snowboard Domestic Coach of the Year, who enjoys bringing snowboard racing to a higher level in the US. He has put several riders on the US Team and coached athletes at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy.

Thedo has played a role in being AJ’s coach while training in Steamboat Springs over the last 6 years and is currently his coach in North America.

Thedo’s mission is to provide a solid training base, while working on the right mentality to excel in the sport. Thedo is a former Olympian and coached successfully on the World Cup before coming to Steamboat. In addition, Thedo coached at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
